  • Our Brazilian operations are an important part of our regional and global footprint, and we are seeking a strategic and driven Commercial Director to lead our commercial efforts and ensure full alignment with our global vision.
  • ROLE OVERVIEWThe Commercial Director Brazil will take full responsibility for the countrys commercial strategy and performance.
  • This leadership role demands a highly motivated individual with strong industry knowledge, client-facing capabilities, and a firm grasp of international logisticsparticularly in the energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors.
  • You will lead, shape, and implement the local sales strategy in alignment with Bertling''s global direction, ensuring commercial standards are met, group protocols are followed, and meaningful client engagement is maintained across our key accounts.
  • Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & RepresentationRepresent Bertling Brazil externally to clients, industry stakeholders, and partners with professionalism and integrity.
  • Act as a senior figure within the local business, collaborating with the Country Managing Director on strategic priorities.
  • Champion and role-model Bertlings values, standards, and sustainability commitments.
  • Sales Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive local sales strategy, fully aligned with global and regional objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth across target sectors including mining, oil & gas, renewables, and infrastructure.
  • Lead key client negotiations, support tenders, and oversee major commercial opportunities.
  • Key Account EngagementEnsure Bertlings key global accounts are actively engaged and managed at a senior level in Brazil.
  • Facilitate regular communication and coordination with regional and global KAMs to align on strategy, performance, and opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary commercial liaison between Bertling Brazil and other group offices.
  • Ensure all local sales activities, proposals, and contract processes follow Bertlings commercial protocols and quality standards .
  • Promote the consistent use of CRM tools and uphold group-wide visibility of sales efforts and results.
  • Team Development & CoordinationWork closely with the local and regional leadership to foster a high-performing commercial team .
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of new sales talent.
  • Encourage cross-functional collaboration between commercial, operational, technical, and IT teams.
  • Candidate ProfileSenior-level experience in project logistics, freight forwarding, or related industries with a strong commercial track record.
  • Deep knowledge of the Brazilian industrial landscape, particularly in sectors such as mining, energy, and large-scale infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire commercial teams in a multi-office or multi-national context.
  • Strong understanding of commercial risk management, proposal development, and contract structuring.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build bridges across regions, offices, and cultures.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, reporting platforms, and group governance structures.
