  • About the Job Were seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Engineering with strong leadership skills to manage both our Software Engineering and Professional Services teams.
  • This key role is responsible for leading software engineering initiatives while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality Data & AI projects for our clients.
  • Responsibilities Provide leadership and management for the Engineering and Professional Services teams, ensuring alignment and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and execute engineering strategies that support the companys global objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the CTO on external activities, including sector events, strategic partnerships, pre-sales activities, and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee the delivery of Data & AI projects, working closely with clients to understand and exceed their expectations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within both the software engineering and professional services operations.
  • Manage the departments budget, strategically investing in technologies and optimizing resources.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and quality standards across engineering and professional services.
  • Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Specialization or experience in Data Science and AI is highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of experience leading software engineering and professional services teams, ideally within a SaaS or Data Platform context.
  • Strong knowledge of system architectures, cloud infrastructure, and agile development methodologies.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills to work effectively with other departments and meet client needs.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed, results-oriented, proactive, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as an entrepreneur or founder of a tech startup.
  • A network within the startup and investment communities.
  • Certifications or coursework in venture capital or investment analysis.
