  • {We are looking for local Talent!} We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Tech Manager (Engineering Manager) to join our Data & Architecture team.
  • This role is pivotal in leading our technical vision and delivery, driving innovation, and ensuring operational excellence across data platforms, analytics solutions, AI implementations, integration platforms and agile developments.
  • Reporting to the Head of Architecture & Data, you will oversee squads of talented engineers, manage external vendors and third-party providers, and steer strategic initiatives aligned with our business objectives.
  • Main Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Oversee the design, delivery, and optimization of solutions on the Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, AI/ML tools, and other data-related services, like PowerBI.
  • Vendor & Third-Party Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring SLAs are met and the integration of third-party tools or solutions aligns with company goals.
  • Team Management: Lead cross-functional agile squads, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support career growth by coaching team members and promoting a culture of learning.
  • Agile Processes: Champion and refine agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), ensuring efficient delivery and alignment across multiple squads.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with product, business, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize deliverables, and align solutions with strategic goals.
  • Innovation & Scaling: Promote innovation in data engineering and AI practices, ensuring platforms and architectures are scalable, secure, and cutting-edge.
  • Governance & Standards: Guarantee the application of data governance frameworks, security best practices, and coding standards to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience in overseeing projects on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (BigQuery, Cloud Composer, AI & ML APIs, etc.

  • Strong background in data engineering, analytics platforms, model deployment, and scalable architectures.
  • Solid understanding of software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and integration patterns.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of stream processing, ETL pipelines, and big data technologies.
  • Leadership & Management Skills: Track record of managing agile engineering teams (Scrum and/or Kanban) and leading cross-functional squads.
  • Experience managing vendors and third-party providers, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
  • Strong ability to mentor and develop high-performing technical talent.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Preferred Background/Experience: Robust technical and managerial experience.
  • At least 3 years in an Engineering Manager / Tech Manager role or similar.
