O que você irá fazer

  • The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operational activities of the PVE.
  • This requires being a forward-thinker who possesses a visionary mindset and focuses on long-term goals and strategy.
  • This role involves supervising a team(s), optimizing processes, and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of products/services.
  • The Team Leader plays a key role in achieving business goals, maintaining a safe working environment, maintaining quality standards, ensuring exceptional customer service, promoting a positive work environment, and contributing to the overall success of the department and Rio Grande.
  • Primary Qualifications: Proven 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the functional area.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A college degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve operational challenges.
  • Growth mindset with the ability to inspire and motivate operational change and associate development.
  • Has a forward-thinking mentality.
  • Must possess a strong external and internal customer mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Primary Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day planning, operation, and problem-solving so that the team meets its daily visual management metric goals and service level agreements.
  • Determine gaps-to-goals, determine causes, and take corrective and preventative actions as necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective team meetings and huddling content and discussions.
  • Be accountable for safety in their area of responsibility and the business in general.
  • Effectively work alongside team to complete work.
  • Coach and provide feedback to ensure individual performance meets team standards.
  • Provide both positive and constructive feedback related to meeting sales stats, productivity, team agreements and principled behavior.
  • Document, address, and resolve minor conflicts between team members and involve Business Director when appropriate.
  • Work with team and other impacted stakeholders to establish an effective work schedule, ensure schedule adherence, and approve timecards.
  • Provide feedback to address performance issues.
  • Monitor individual team members' performance to identify and schedule training as needed.
  • Collaborate with team to keep Function Analysis and Scope of Authority current.
  • Effectively collaborate with resources to identify gaps and develop training.
  • Effectively collaborate with the Business Director to conduct individual performance reviews for team members.
  • Assist in development, planning, introduction and implementation of new initiatives and process improvements.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Manage expectations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with compliance/safety officers to address issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Leadership: Lead and supervise a team(s) of associates, providing guidance and support.
  • Establish work schedule, schedule adherence, and approve timecards.
  • Ensure that team goals are aligned with Rios strategy.
  • Work with Business Director to translate Rios strategy and business plan into aligned team goals and ensure all team members understand how their contribution, and the team goals support that strategy/business plan.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a collaborative team culture.
  • Provide guidance, inspiration, and support to help team members achieve their individual and collective team goals.
  • Train and develop associates to ensure they can perform their job duties accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide performance feedback.
  • Address and resolve performance issues with associates in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Involve Business Director/HR and take formal corrective action when appropriate.
  • Provide and complete supporting documentation as required and participate in performance improvement plans.
  • Encourage and demonstrate a culture of continuous learning and improvement by challenging team(s) to be better and providing the support needed to accomplish the work and enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Coordinate with other departments/teams to ensure optimal staffing levels and resource availability.
  • Monitor resource utilization to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain product/service standards.
  • Monitor and analyze product/service outputs, addressing deviations from quality standards.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify root cause and continuously improve processes.
  • Communication: Actively listen to associates concerns, ideas, and feedback.
  • Keep the team informed about relevant information.
  • Facilitate effective communication between team members and with other departments.
  • Communicate regularly with the Business Director and other departments.
  • Report key performance indicators (KPIs)/daily visual metrics (DVM).
  • Address and resolve communication breakdowns promptly.
  • Encourage open communication to resolve misunderstandings and promote a positive team dynamic.
  • Leverage automation and software tools for routine communications, such as Lattice, SAP, Smartsheet, Rio Net, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Customer (External & Internal) Focused: Goes a step further to think above and beyond what can be done to improve the customer experience.
  • Resolve escalated issues to maintain positive relationships.
