O que você irá fazer

  • This role requires extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and beverage pairings, as well as the ability to train and guide the service team to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
  • Key Responsibilities: Wine Program Management: Develop and maintain an extensive and well-balanced wine list that complements the restaurants culinary offerings.
  • Manage wine inventory, ensuring proper storage, stock rotation, and cost control.
  • Establish relationships with wine suppliers and negotiate pricing to optimize the selection and profitability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new vintages, and emerging wine regions to enhance the wine program.
  • Guest Engagement & Service Excellence: Provide personalized wine recommendations based on guests' preferences and menu selections.
  • Offer expert guidance on food and wine pairings to elevate the dining experience.
  • Conduct tableside wine service, including proper decanting and presentation techniques.
  • Engage with guests to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of wines.
  • Training & Team Development: Train and educate the restaurant and bar team on wine selection, tasting notes, and service techniques.
  • Conduct regular wine tastings and workshops to enhance staff knowledge and confidence.
  • Ensure service staff adheres to the highest standards of wine presentation and etiquette.
  • Operational Responsibilities: Monitor wine sales and develop strategies to increase revenue through upselling and promotions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with local alcohol regulations and hotel policies.
  • Collaborate with chefs and mixologists to develop unique beverage pairings and seasonal offerings.
  • Qualifications Qualifications & Experience: Certified Sommelier (WSET Level 3, CMS Certified, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, and food pairings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for guest interaction.
  • Ability to conduct engaging wine tastings and staff training sessions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
