  • Site Reliability EngineerJob DescriptionThe RoleAs a member of the Site Reliability Engineering team, you will be working alongside other engineers and architects to support and deploy the solutions that power SUSEs products in the cloud.
  • We partner with Amazon, Azure and Google to provide a seamless update workflow for our mutual customers.
  • In support of dynamic business growth and in line with our ambitious objectives, you will advance our cloud platforms monitoring, deployment, automation and administration capabilities.
  • You will also support system/application reliability and uptime as part of the team on-call rotation.
  • Apart from working on a broad spectrum of technical solutions, a Site Reliability Engineer may also:create and manage resources in multiple cloud environmentspartner with our sales and support teams on complex issueswork with leadership on process improvements and strategic initiativescontribute to a wide range of open source projectscoach/mentor new team membersFocus AreasDeploy and Maintain Linux Systems and Cloud infrastructureContribute to capacity planning, solution design and monitoring discussionsContribute to maintaining complex environment by monitoring availability and assisting in maintaining platform healthPartner with software engineering teams to improve software releasesMeasure and optimise system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continual improvementImprove service availability by assisting in building run books, on-call rotation, incident command, and working with development teams to diagnose and resolve incidentsPreferred Experience & SkillsProfessional experience in System Administration, Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps EngineeringApplication performance monitoring and observability toolsBuilding and maintaining infrastructure in the cloud (e.
