  • Role Overview:The SEO Strategist is responsible for developing and executing data-driven SEO strategies to enhance organic rankings, drive targeted traffic, and optimize lead generation for clients.
  • This role requires expertise in keyword research, content planning, backlink acquisition, and Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization.
  • The SEO Strategist collaborates with internal teams to align SEO initiatives with broader digital marketing objectives while continuously monitoring industry trends and algorithm updates.
  • Reports To: Director of Operations (DOO) | Project Managers (PM)Key ResponsibilitiesConduct advanced keyword research to identify high-impact opportunities.
  • Develop and implement keyword mapping strategies across content and target pages.
  • Monitor keyword performance and adjust strategies based on ranking fluctuations.
  • Create and manage content calendars in collaboration with the content team.
  • Optimize website content, meta descriptions, title tags, and headers.
  • Implement internal linking strategies to improve page authority and user experience.
  • Develop and execute high-quality backlink acquisition strategies.
  • Identify and outreach to relevant websites for link-building opportunities.
  • Monitor backlink profiles and disavow harmful links when necessary.
  • Ensure full optimization of GBP listings for local search visibility.
  • Implement location-based strategies for multi-location businesses.
  • Track and improve local keyword rankings and user engagement metrics.
  • Provide weekly SEO performance reports on rankings, traffic, and conversions.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and track industry benchmarks.
  • Measure and optimize Cost Per Lead (CPL) and conversion rates from organic search.
  • Work closely with the DOO and PMs in daily check-ins to align priorities.
  • Coordinate with content teams, web developers, and paid ad specialists for holistic digital marketing success.
  • Stay updated on Google algorithm changes, AI advancements, and SEO trends.
  • QualificationsStrong critical thinking and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Adaptability and strong collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Moz.
  • Experience with WordPress, Webflow, and Shopify SEO.
  • Familiarity with SurferSEO, Clearscope, and Grammarly.
  • Ability to use Slack, ClickUp, Asana, Notion, Google Docs, and Sheets.
  • 3+ years of SEO experience preferred (agency experience a plus).
  • Background in Google Business Strategy & Local SEO preferred.
  • Google SEO Certification or equivalent preferred.
