O que você irá fazer

  • The role focuses on developing and implementing analyses, modeling, and optimization strategies to support Atlass commercial opportunities and portfolio strategy.
  • This includes creating models and tools for market analysis and projections across various scenarios to enhance Atlass commercial prospects, portfolio strategy, and risk management.
  • What challenges will you face? Support company profitability by developing energy price analyses and forecasts, monitoring variations in options, flow, demand, energy exchanges between subsystems, curtailment projections, and different generation curve analyses.
  • These insights will guide energy purchase and sale decisions.
  • Ensure the accuracy of price analysis models by verifying assumptions input into CEPEL (Electric Energy Research Center) and PSR models.
  • This involves consulting reports, published data, and processing information when necessary.
  • Critically analyze results to identify potential deviations and gaps in the models.
  • Provide timely and relevant market information regarding price variations, reductions, modulation, negotiation monitoring, technical notes, and regulatory processes involving ANEEL and ONS.
  • Conduct research and monitor institutional websites to gather pertinent data.
  • Enhance asset performance in Brazil by analyzing and forecasting energy prices and curtailments while tracking variables such as rainfall, flow, demand, and energy exchanges between subsystems.
  • Communicate regulatory changes and market information promptly and transparently to internal teams.
  • Proactively share insights that could impact market decisions and risk assessments.
  • Develop price and scenario analyses efficiently to align with Atlas's business dynamics.
  • What specific knowledge do you need? Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, Economics; Formation and projection of electricity prices (PLD); Operation and expansion of the Brazilian electrical system; Medium and long-term energy planning; Regulation of the Brazilian electricity sector and the energy market in Brazil; Probabilistic and statistical analysis; Programming and automation (Python, VBA, Power BI, and Shell Script); Intermediate to advanced skills in modeling & project valuation; Experience using and implementing market projection models (Newave, Decomp, DESSEM, and SDDP); Knowledge of optimization, risk/stochastic analysis, dispatch & power flow models/tools, and experience coding in Python or other programming languages; Advanced English is required; Advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills.
