  • Senior AccountantThe Statutory Accounting Team at Expedia Group supports legal entities across each jurisdiction globally.
  • We are responsible for local books maintenance, differences between US and local accounting rules, supporting external audits and producing financial statements for international entities, spread all over the world.

In our Statutory Accounting team, you will have constant contact with local accounting and tax advisors spread across LATAM/APAC (Latin America/Asia Pacific) regions.

  • Our Statutory Accounting Team is responsible for complying with local accounting regulations and reviewing indirect taxes.
  • In this role, you will:Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliationsLiaison with 3rd party service providers to support local compliance requirementsWork efficiently across functions to support local audits in partnership with the senior accountantsBe able to understand GAAP concepts and their effects on statutory financial resultsPrepare financial statements according to IFRS or local accounting regulationPrepare ad hoc analysisSupport statutory audits in multiple countriesExperience and qualifications:Bachelor`s degree in accounting; or equivalent related professional experience4+ years of relevant professional experienceFluent in English (Spanish is desirable)Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environmentAbility to build strong working relationships and work efficiently across functions to resolve issuesAttention to detail with excellent interpersonal and time management skillsKnowledge in AR and AP subledger in ERP systemsExperience with Oracle or a similar ERP systemAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, functions) as well as able to work with large amounts of dataCommitment to continued improvementStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAccommodation requestsIf you need assistance with any part of the application or recruiting process due to a disability, or other physical or mental health conditions, please reach out to our Recruiting Accommodations Team through the Accommodation Request.
