O que você irá fazer

  • Responsible for establishing quality standards and designing testing methods, quality assurance plans, and inspection procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring, maintaining, and supporting the Company's quality control operations, complying with regulatory standards and meeting quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Constantly interacts with other areas such as Manufacturing, Planning, Quality Systems, Quality Operations and Supply Chain, both at the site and from other sites and franchises.
  • Responsible for a team of approximately 75 people, including 3 supervisors with direct reporting, working in 6 different labs, and in charge of testing materials, finished goods and in-process controls.
  • You will be responsible for: Developing and managing the implementation of inspection, testing, and evaluation methods and procedures; Promoting mentoring, training, guidance, and development of the quality control team; Evaluating performance and providing growth opportunities; Communicating department objectives, metrics, and related results; Participating in planning and implementing changes in production methods, tools and equipment, space allocations, production schedules, and other factors necessary to maintain or improve compliance with the quality standards of existing products and new products; Ensuring compliance with the requirements of global health authorities and internal standards; Ensuring compliance with standardized testing and quality assessment processes that follow best practices for product testing and process validation; Supporting and providing appropriate resources for the proper investigation of non-conformances, market complaints, escalations, CAPAs; Defining the laboratory's strategic planning; Preparing quality control reports, requirements, quotes, and other business opportunities; Developing the areas Budget planning, as well as appropriately utilizing the financial resources provided; Identifying potential hazards to people, property, and the environment, complying with procedures set by the company and Brazilian legislation; Communicating business-related problems or opportunities to the next management level; Ensuring the adoption, at all levels of J&J Medical Brazil, of a quality culture that enables meeting the objectives defined by the company, complying with applicable regulations and policies; Ensuring compliance with the current policies, norms, and procedures of the company, as well as for their amendment and update if necessary; Ensuring that subordinates follow all company guidelines related to Environment, Health, and Safety practices and that all necessary resources for this are available and in good condition, if applicable; Ensuring individual and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures, including ISO and any other regulations of the sites we supply; Managing staff performance and taking disciplinary action when necessary; Empowering team to act with speed, agility, and accountability.
  • EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Biological, Chemical or any other Exact Sciences; Masters degree in Quality, People Management, or related fields; A minimum of 6 years of quality experience in a GMP and/or ISO regulated industry is required, with at least some of that time spent in a leadership position; Demonstrated experience in La routine; Demonstrated effective people management; Knowledge in Supply Chain; Spanish is desired.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES, AND NECESSARY AFFILIATIONS: Desired certification as Green or Black Belt in Lean and/or Six Sigma; Verbal and written communication skills; Knowledge of Regulatory Standards; Skills in prioritizing, follow-up, and controlling results and metrics; Knowledge in problem-solving and quality tools; Understanding of Quality Assurance and Compliance; Direct interaction and experience in leading teams during Health Authority inspections; Previous experience with budget management and lab capacity; Capability to manage multiple priorities and unexpected changes.
  • LOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional travel for domestic and/or international territories.
