About the role:As a QA Engineer III, you''ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products by applying your in-depth understanding of testing principles and practices.
You''ll leverage your established knowledge of testing methodologies to independently design, execute, and optimize comprehensive test plans.
You''ll effectively analyze test results, identify and diagnose defects, and work collaboratively with developers to achieve efficient resolution.
Seniority Level:Senior LevelResponsibilities:Primary Responsibilities (80%)Test Planning and Strategy : Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies aligned with project requirements, technical specifications, user needs, and risk assessments.
Test Execution : Execute test cases with precision, combining manual and automated techniques to identify defects and ensure software functionality, reliability, and performance.
Test Automation : Opportunity to lead the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks, setting standards for testing efficiency and coverage.
The extent of automation responsibilities will be determined by the teams needs and the current project priorities.
Attention to Detail : Maintain high attention to detail to identify even minor issues.
Root Cause Analysis : Analyze test results to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement, and recommend preventive measures.
Regression Testing : Own and architect the regression testing process, ensuring existing features remain functional with new code changes.
Defect Management : Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using bug tracking systems, collaborating effectively with development teams for timely resolution.
Communication Skills : Effectively report issues and collaborate with the development team.
Additional Responsibilities (20%)Documentation : Generate detailed test result reports, present findings to stakeholders, and assist in maintaining the project knowledge base.
Continuous Improvement : Lead initiatives to enhance QA processes, introducing innovative tools and methodologies.
Performance and Security Testing : Conduct performance testing to assess scalability and responsiveness to ensure software meets industry standards.
Mentoring and Leadership : Mentor junior QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment, and lead knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements:5+ years of experience as a QA EngineerProven experience in software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with Selenium (JavaScript) and Playwright for automation frameworksStrong background in Web Application and API TestingPerformance testing (JMeter, Lighthouse, or similar)Version control experience with GitBasic understanding of UI/UX testing and UX principlesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot complex testing issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Experience in leading a team that significantly influences project outcomes and enhances team practices, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environmentSenior-level candidates, available to start immediately or in OctoberMust be able to work in the EST timezoneNice to have:Familiarity with BrowserStack as a testing toolExperience with SQL, AWS, and quantitative data analysis (for reviewing features or backend optimizations using AWS or Snowflake)Conversion tracking (GTM, GA4)Experience with split testing and CRO/VWO toolsKnowledge of SEO/SEM principlesCompliance and Security testing experience, including Accessibility testingWhats in it for you?Work wherever you choose.
