  • Collaborating across teams, you'll apply your expertise in mechanics and design to create high-performance products that redefine industrial asset management.
  • From concept to execution, your role will shape Tractian's industry-leading technology, ensuring top-tier quality and functionality in every solution we deliver.
  • Responsibilities Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed models and drawings of components and assemblies.
  • Employ CAE tools and techniques to perform FEA simulations, including Moldflow, Fatigue, Thermal, structural, and Modal Analyses.
  • Analyze simulation results to evaluate product performance, identify potential issues, and recommend design improvements.
  • Collaborate with the design team to optimize product designs for factors such as strength, durability, and thermal performance.
  • Provide guidance on material selection based on specs and test results to enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Design parts for manufacturing (DFM), understand manufacturer capabilities, and have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, such as machining and plastic injection.
  • Prototype and test mechanical designs to validate performance and functionality, iterating as necessary.
  • Participate in design reviews to provide valuable insights, feedback, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in the technology or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of CAE software tools, such as ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, COMSOL, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of mechanics, materials science, and design principles.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, such as machining and plastic injection.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Reading and writing proficiency in English.
  • Bonus points Experience with microcasting and sintering.
  • Familiarity with plastic materials.
  • Experience in the IoT or industrial equipment sector is advantageous.
