  • Introduction We are seeking a Product Materials Engineer to join our team.
  • You will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing the materials and processes used in manufacturing with a focus on cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that materials meet the required specifications and performance standards.
  • Your expertise will contribute to the innovation and sustainability of our product offerings.
  • In this position, you will report to Engineering Manager, Crusher Product Operations.
  • This position can be in Brookfield, WI or Sorocaba in Brazil, but we are happy to offer hybrid work options.
  • The Product Materials Engineer will be required to travel up to 30% of the time to manufacturing sites including internal production facilities as well as external vendors globally.

  • What Youll Do: Innovate and Develop: Research and develop alternative materials for use in manufacturing and product design, mostly focused on metallic processes.
  • Evaluate and Advise: Review material properties to determine their suitability for specific applications and provide technical advice to procurement.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with internal production teams and external vendors to ensure seamless communication and material integrations.
  • Ensure Sustainability: Ensure that manufacturing processes and modifications are sustainable and adhere to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Report and Recommend: Investigate production processes, methods, and material data, providing insightful reports to enable better management decisions.
  • Team Up: Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure material compatibility and performance.
  • Working Environment: Product Materials Engineer will typically work in an office.
  • You will be a part of our Engineering team including R&D and Project Delivery Engineers.
  • Product Materials Engineer will be required to travel to manufacturing sites including internal production facilities as well as external vendors when needed.
  • Who You Are: Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Materials Science or a related field.
  • Experienced Professional: 3-5 years of professional experience in materials selection, metal forming, and related manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledgeable Expert: Comprehensive knowledge of material properties, testing methods, and failure analysis.
  • Technical Specialist: Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and material simulation tools, with FEA experience.
  • Global Traveler: Must hold a passport for international travel.
