  • The Role As a Principal Geoscience Consultant, you will provide onsite and remote workflow support, training in seismic processing and imaging services, and consulting for a major Oil & Gas client.
  • Your goal will be to enhance their depth imaging objectives using AspenTechs advanced velocity model building, seismic imaging, and seismic characterization technologies.
  • You will also conduct project work on behalf of the client.
  • Your Impact Collaborate with clients to solve complex subsurface imaging challenges using cutting-edge software and ensure successful project execution with high customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with AspenTechs senior technical team and the clients seismic processing team to optimize seismic data preparation for velocity model building and depth imaging.
  • Regularly meet with key users to track project progress, share findings with AspenTech management, and deliver monthly activity reports, including user engagement and project milestones.
  • Monitor contractual obligations, including billing, and proactively communicate gaps to management.
  • Publish accurate and timely weekly and project reports.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to ensure projects are completed successfully and on time.
  • What You'll NeedBachelors degree in Geophysics, Geosciences, or a Masters degree in Geophysics (preferred in lieu of experience).
  • At least 8 years of experience in seismic processing and imaging, with 3+ years specializing in velocity model building and depth imaging in offshore environments.
  • Expertise in narrow, multi-azimuth, wide azimuth, and Ocean Bottom Nodal seismic data.
  • Proficiency in seismic processing and velocity model building software such as GeoDepth or equivalents.
  • Advanced English communication skills; proficiency in a third regional language is a plus.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills are desirable.
  • Ability to travel minimally if required.
