O que você irá fazer

  • Proactively integrates diverse disciplines to achieve project delivery and provides technical assistance and/or quality control to work across multiple disciplines, including but not limited to: Lead & coach others to integrate stratigraphic, sedimentological, structural, geophysical, and geochemical evaluations to evaluate the petroleum system(s), generate new play ideas, and lead portfolios; Deliver evaluations as an individual contributor and through coaching and QC, capturing the full range of subsurface realizations by leveraging geological uncertainty to produce alternative success and failure scenarios supported by data, analogues, and exploration history; Provide expertise to well-owners to integrate geological, geophysical, and input from other disciplines into well design and operations geology; Recognized as a technical expert in one or more areas, diagnosing and solving significant, complex, and non-routine problems; translating practices across the company and industry, providing authoritative recommendations impacting business performance short- and medium-term; actively seeking new approaches to enhance efficiency and impact; May represent the company as an authority in the defined area and act as a role model to develop future talent.
  • May be at TA2 level and/or an SME/PTE; Responsible for HSSE risk management and leading safety culture changes, actively driving safety leadership, sub-surface process safety, and operational/contractor HSSE, influencing decision-makers for improved safety outcomes; Lead and inspire geoscience staff, coaching and motivating stakeholders; Lead the design, planning, and management of multiple exploration projects, including stakeholder integration; Manage relations with various internal and external stakeholders, with moderate/high consequences if things go wrong, involving complex stakeholder management.

  • Responsible for QC, adherence to standards, HSSE risk management, and safety culture leadership.
  • Usually at EC-5 level, reporting to a team leader, with 1-2 direct reports.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relations at tactical and strategic levels.
  • What We Need From You Legal authorization to work in Brazil full-time.
  • Bachelors degree in Geology or Geophysics; Masters/PhD advantageous.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge of regional geology, pre-salt and post-salt, and tools like GeoX, Petrel.
  • Knowledge of 2D/3D seismic interpretation.
