The primary goal of this project is to transcribe words that are unknown to our Text-to-Speech (TTS) system on a weekly basis.
This is a great opportunity for linguists, translators, or language experts looking for steady, low-hour engagement with flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities: Transcribe out-of-vocabulary words for a TTS system on a weekly basis Perform phonetic transcription of Brazilian Portuguese words Annotate and provide linguistic notes as needed Translate Portuguese (PT) words or phrases to English when required Apply knowledge of Portuguese grammar and phonetics to ensure transcription accuracy Collaborate with the team and follow project-specific guidelines Requirements: Native or near-native fluency in Brazilian Portuguese Strong understanding of phonetics and Portuguese grammar Proficiency in English Detail-oriented with excellent linguistic annotation skills Previous experience in transcription, phonetic work, or TTS projects is a plus Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently Time Commitment: Approximately 68 hours per month Flexible schedule Long-term engagement Training: Comprehensive training and project guidelines will be provided.
