  • This position is hybrid (3x/week) at our office in Pinheiros, São Paulo.
  • About the role As a Senior Android Developer in the BR Market team, you will work with a cross-functional team including a Product Manager, Designer, Senior iOS and Android Developers, and a Frontend Developer.
  • The team ensures the adaptation of Sumup products to the Brazilian market, collaborating with other Core tribes such as Bank, Payment, Lending, Hardware, and POS.
  • You will build features specific to Brazil (PIX, Instalment, fiscalization, etc.
  • ), enhance team expertise in Kotlin Multiplatform, maintain existing features, and improve the app architecture.
  • Success in this role requires a focus on user interaction, usability, attention to detail, clear communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • What Youll Do: Collaborate with developers, QAs, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to design and implement mobile features.

  • Conduct discoveries, spikes, and technical descriptions for stories and tasks.
  • Participate in code reviews and pair programming to improve quality and share knowledge.
  • Promote best practices, focusing on performance, monitoring, and crash-free releases.
  • Ensure smooth deployments, continuous integration, and support for existing functionalities.
  • Maintain documentation and high test coverage.
  • Contribute to tool and technology choices, especially in backend discussions.
  • Youll Be Great for This Role If You Have: Experience in native Kotlin Android development.
  • Knowledge of Modular Architecture, MVVM, SOLID principles, REST APIs, and scalable app architecture.
  • Experience with unit testing and dependency injection.
  • Familiarity with Firebase Crashlytics.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with multi-tasked teams.
  • Proficiency in English for international collaboration.
  • Bonus Points If You Have: Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) experience.
  • Native Java development.
  • Experience with Compose, gRPC, instrumented testing, and financial services.
