  • About the role Responsible for integrating purchasing information, warehouse stock levels, and production material requirements to ensure a seamless flow of materials throughout the MRO process.
  • This person will play a key role in ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time to support production schedules and customer needs.
  • - Material Planning & Forecasting: Collaborate with the production and procurement teams to understand material requirements based on work orders, production schedules, and inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain material planning schedules that align with production timelines and customer delivery expectations.
  • Monitor and analyze material usage trends to proactively adjust forecasts and material orders.
  • - Purchasing Integration: Work closely with the purchasing team to ensure timely procurement of materials, ensuring materials are available in advance of production needs.
  • Analyze supplier lead times and coordinate material purchases based on production requirements and stock levels.
  • - Inventory Management & Optimization: Monitor warehouse stock levels, ensuring an efficient balance of materials to avoid both shortages and excess inventory.
  • Recommend improvements to inventory management processes and help implement strategies to reduce waste and improve material turns.
  • - Data Analysis & Reporting: Regularly update material availability and consumption reports, providing insights on potential supply chain risks or material shortages.
  • Use ERP and other planning systems to track material orders, deliveries, and consumption trends to maintain an accurate picture of supply chain status.
  • - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with warehouse, production, and quality control teams to ensure that materials meet required specifications and are available when needed for repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the supply chain team and other departments to resolve material-related issues in a timely manner.
  • - Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the material planning process and recommend changes to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve the accuracy of material availability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain department Work experience Proven experience (3+ years) in material planning or a similar supply chain role, preferably within the MRO or aerospace industry.
  • Educational Bachelor''s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
