O que você irá fazer

  • This rolerequires continuous coordination with managers from Cross-Border,First Mile, Last Mile, Reverse Logistics, Customs Operations, andLogistics Planning teams to ensure operations are executed withinbudget constraints.
  • The manager will also oversee the P&L of alllogistics operations, including the Customs Clearance Center.
  • Thisposition will lead cost control projects, driving billing, payment,and reconciliation improvements, ensuring proper alignment with 3PLs,procurement, accounting, and tax departments.
  • Additionally, themanager will enforce contractual terms, including penalties and claimsmanagement, to recover values and ensure compliance with paymentdeadlines and invoice quality, directing continuous improvementactions as needed.
  • As the primary financial support for theRegional Logistics Director, this role will provide key insights oncosts, budgeting, and financial controls to guide decision-making andstrategy.
  • Furthermore, the Logistics Cost Control Manager will leadthe Cost Control Specialists team, requiring strong leadership andpeople management experience.
  • This role is accountable for deliveringLogistics Operation Cost-related KPI targets and must continuouslygenerate cost-saving ideas while identifying cost inefficiencies on aweekly and monthly basis.
  • The manager will also lead cross-functionalteams to develop and implement strategies that ensure cost targets aremet.
  • Key ResponsibilitiesBudget Planning & Cost Control:Oversee the logistics budget for all operational areas, ensuringexecution remains within approved limits.
  • P&L Management: Monitorand manage the profit and loss (P&L) statement for logisticsoperations, identifying trends, risks, andopportunities.
  • Financial Alignment: Act as a key liaison betweenthe local logistics team and HQ finance, accounting and tax teams,ensuring transparency and alignment on cost structures andforecasts.
  • Operational Cost Monitoring: Work closely withlogistics managers to track operational expenses and developinitiatives to prevent cost overruns.
  • Billing & Payment FlowOptimization: Lead projects to improve billing accuracy, paymentreconciliation, and cash flow management in coordination with 3PLpartners, accounting, and tax teams.
  • Contract Compliance & ClaimsManagement: Ensure 3PL contracts are strictly followed, applyingpenalties when necessary and leading claims recoveryprocesses.
  • Data-Driven Cost Analysis: Utilize SQL and Python toextract, analyze, and visualize cost data, identifying inefficienciesand improvement opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives:Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance costefficiency, mitigate risks, and improve financial processes.
  • CostTarget Delivery: Continuously identify cost inefficiencies and developcost-saving initiatives on a weekly and monthly basis, leadingcross-functional teams to achieve cost targets.
  • Team Leadership:Lead and develop the Cost Control Specialists team, fostering a strongculture of performance, efficiency, and financialdiscipline.
  • RequirementsBachelors degree in BusinessAdministration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, orrelated fields.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost control,financial planning, or operations finance within logistics or supplychain.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.
  • Spanish andMandarin are a plus.
  • Strong database management skills, includingSQL and Python for cost analysis and reporting.
  • Experiencemanaging logistics budgets and financial performance metrics (P&L,OPEX, and cost forecasting).
  • Strong understanding of logisticsoperations, including transportation, fulfillment, and customsclearance processes.
  • Excellent ability to align operational andfinancial teams, ensuring cost discipline and processimprovements.
  • Experience with contract management, includingenforcement of penalties and financial recovery strategies.
  • Peoplemanagement experience, with a proven ability to lead, develop, andmotivate a team.
  • Highly analytical, problem-solving mindset, andability to lead cross-functional projects focused on costefficiency.
