  • Let's make history together? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Specialist to join our legal team.
  • The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance, managing commercial contracts, and supporting EBANX's business operations.
  • This position requires in-depth knowledge of commercial law, contract negotiation, risk management, and international business transactions.
  • The Commercial Contractual Lawyer SR will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, provide legal advice, and contribute to the achievement of EBANX's strategic objectives.

  • You will also be responsible for: Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including client agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal departments on contractual matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, protecting EBANX's interests and reputation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Finance, and Operations, to support business initiatives and ensure legal compliance.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, as necessary, to handle complex legal issues or specialized matters.
  • Support the development and implementation of company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to commercial contracts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments that may impact EBANX's contractual relationships.
  • Participate in contract negotiations, representing EBANX's interests and securing favorable terms.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal team members.
  • Main requirements for this position: Law degree; additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience practicing commercial law, preferably with a focus on contractual matters.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law, contract drafting, negotiation, and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish are required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Admitted to the bar and licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • What else would we like to see? Familiarity with financial technology (fintech) or payments industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a multinational company or with international clients and contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
