O que você irá fazer

  • The Electrical Hardware Engineer works closely with the project team to analyze the customer requirements and required functionality early in the project cycle; create design documents, system architecture, requirement matrix and support the customer design reviews, conduct the Factory Acceptance Testing with the customer and lead the subsequent deployment at the Customer site.
  • Execute and complete the System Acceptance Testing along with the customer and all other parties involved in the project.
  • The Electrical Hardware coordinates all system development and integration tasks to include design, integration and formal testing.
  • The Electrical Hardware Engineer also works to support the Systems Engineering team.
  • Primary Responsibilities:Supports the definition of software and hardware products and interfaces.
  • Coordinates system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing.
  • Oversees all transitions into customers deployment.
  • Develops and completes projects in system specifications, technical and logistical requirements and other disciplines.
  • Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation (design docs, requirement matrix, system diagrams, etc.
  • ) to ensure efficient planning and execution.
  • Manages and documents system configurations.
  • Ensures the deployment of the solution is successful.
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of enterprise applications such as BusTime and CleverCAD.
  • Implements performance analysis and reliability analysis of the end-to-end protocol.
  • Adheres to protocol revisions and amendments as directed by the Regional Systems Engineering Manager.
  • Assists in other tasks as needed by the Systems Engineering department.
  • Provides training and guidance to Associates, Project Engineer I/II as needed.
  • Skills Required:10+ years experience in engineering development.
  • 10+ years experience in systems engineering involving hardware, software, data and communications technologies.
  • Good understanding of the J1939 and J1708 protocols and experience with multiplex systems.
  • Hardware design experience and ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and lab equipment.
  • Experience with network and protocol troubleshooting and tools.
  • Ability to independently gather and document requirements and provide design requirements and product definition.
  • Strong computer skills particularly with MS Office including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Engineering required, Masters Degree in related discipline.
  • Experience working with public transit is a plus.
