The Kendo house of brands currently includes: Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, Fenty Hair, KVD Beauty, Ole Henriksen and the Lip Lab.
Location: São Paulo, Brazil/ LVMH Beauty Office (Hybrid 3 days in person office + 2 days home office) POSITION SUMMARY Looking for beauty addicts with strategic, global mindsets - if you love beauty and are excited to participate in FENTYs growth in Latin America, this job is for you! The Retail & Education Manager is responsible for driving retail sales, education, and operational excellence across Kendo Brazil retail accounts.
This role will oversee the day-to-day management of Buyer/Planner relationships and collaborate closely with the Key Account teams (including but not limited to Head Office, Area Managers, and Store Managers) to ensure the brand''s top ranking and performance in each store and at a country level.
Leading a team of Trainer, Beauty Consultants, and Freelancers, the Retail & Education Manager will be responsible for ensuring retail excellence, stock availability, an elevated client experience, and the maximization of brand potential and overall sales objectives.
This role will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Brand Teams, Logistics, Visual Merchandising, and other internal stakeholders to execute strategies that support Kendo Brazil ''s business priorities and retail objectives.
Additionally, they will support the team in planning and executing activities and initiatives across Analytics/Operations, Marketing/PR, Visual Merchandising, Training, and Sales Support.
RESPONSIBILITIES Key Account Management Retail & Business Strategy Develop and implement strategic retail education, staffing, and sales objectives to drive performance and market share.
Define and execute strategies to maximize ranking in stores and across the country.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Sephora and store managers, ensuring optimal brand positioning.
Oversee and optimize in-store execution of the customer journey, upselling techniques, and service excellence to maximize basket size and conversion.
Partner with Key Account teams to align retail and education strategies with overall business objectives.
Retail & Business Operations Ensure seamless execution of in-store activations, events, and promotions to boost sales.
Monitor store operations, retail excellence, and staff performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Track results, customer feedback, and in-store KPIs, developing action plans accordingly.
Oversee visual merchandising implementation to maintain brand standards and an appealing shopping experience.
Sales Forecasting & Data Analysis Support the Brand Team with sales data, trends, and performance objectives to optimize forecasting and planning.
Provide insights into competition activities, store rankings, sales trends, and KPIs to drive strategic decision-making.
Identify and communicate opportunities for growth and areas of risk, leveraging sales data and in-store insights.
Stock & Inventory Management Monitor out-of-stock issues, underperforming SKUs, slow-moving products, and obsolete stock to minimize risk and loss.
Work closely with Supply Chain and Brand teams to ensure inventory levels align with sales objectives.
Retail & Education: Training & Development Work with the trainers to design and implement training strategies for Sephora Cast, Sephora trainers, Brand Beauty Consultants, and Freelancers to enhance brand knowledge and service excellence.
Ensure teams are equipped with the necessary skills to increase client engagement and maximize sales.
Staffing Strategy & Team Optimization Develop and execute a retail staffing strategy that ensures the right number of Beauty Consultants (BCs) and Freelancers are positioned across stores to maximize productivity and sales impact.
Define staffing objectives, ensuring optimal coverage in key doors while balancing business needs and cost efficiency.
Monitor and drive BC productivity metrics, including sales per BC, conversion rates, average basket size, and cross-selling performance.
Implement incentive schemes and recognition programs to drive motivation, retention, and performance.
Work closely with HR and agencies to attract, onboard, and retain top talent, ensuring a high-performance retail team.
Identify key sales drivers, including hero products, core pillars, and cross-category selling, and implement strategies to enhance them at the retail level.
Oversee the career development and succession planning for high-potential BCs to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
Collaborate with store managers and retail partners to ensure BCs receive the necessary support, training, and feedback to continuously improve performance.
Retail Execution & Performance Enhancement Ensure BCs and Freelancers are delivering a consistent, high-quality customer experience aligned with brand standards.
Monitor and analyse store rankings, productivity, and KPI performance, taking corrective actions where needed.
Optimize BC deployment and scheduling to align with peak traffic periods, in-store events, and promotional campaigns.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement strategies that maximize ticket size, conversion rates, and upselling techniques.
Leverage mystery shopping results, client feedback, and retail audits to continuously improve the in-store experience.
Ensure BCs are well-equipped with the right selling tools and product knowledge to effectively communicate brand stories and drive conversions.
Work closely with the Marketing Manager to align on in-store activations, ensuring proper staffing, product availability, and seamless execution to maximize sales impact.
Define and monitor specific sales targets for each activation, ensuring the team is trained and prepared to drive conversion.
Ensure stock levels are optimized ahead of activations, coordinating with Supply Chain and marketing team.
Work closely with Sephora and other retail partners to align on staffing, training needs, and retail activation opportunities.
Other Responsibilities: Develop and manage the retail and training budget, optimizing resource allocation while ensuring cost efficiency.
Track ROI on training initiatives, in-store activations, and retail investments, ensuring alignment with sales objectives.
Monitor competitor activity and analyse market trends to adapt business strategies accordingly.
Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, customer experience, and store execution to senior management.
All other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS 7+ years of experience in Retail management, Sales, Commercial or Training within the Beauty, Cosmetics, or Luxury Industry.
Must be fully fluent in English and Portuguese.
College degree related to the position: Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, etc Strong track record in managing retail teams, driving sales performance, and training retail staff.
Strong strategic & analytical skills to understand data and develop new ideas/recommendations.
Passionate about beauty, training, and customer experience, with a strong understanding of the luxury retail landscape.
Experience working with Sephora or other key beauty retailers is preferred.
Deep understanding of business operations, visual merchandising, customer service excellence, and retail marketing strategies.
Financial acumen with experience in budget control, forecasting, and sales analysis.
Autonomous, organized, results-oriented and with a real analytical sense.
Thrives in dynamic environment, extremely fast-paced, rapidly changing, and consumer-centric Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate regional needs as well as provide the team with a clear framework of the strategic priorities.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience implementing digital learning platforms and CRM tools is a plus.
An inspiring leader and a team player to collaborate with other key department heads, regional and Central teams.
Ability to travel 15% as required to visit stores, conduct training sessions, and oversee retail activations.
