  • What We Seek:We are looking for a Founding AI/ML Engineer to define and execute FreightHeros technology strategy, building an AI-powered platform that revolutionizes freight brokerage operations.
  • You will work closely with the CEO to design and develop a proprietary solution that automates and optimizes back-office processes, improving efficiency and scalability.
  • With the freedom to define the tech stack and build your dream team of experts in AI, full-stack engineering, and logistics technology, this role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation and lead in a rapidly evolving industry.
  • What You Will Be Doing:Define and Build the Tech Vision:Architect and develop FreightHeros AI-driven platform, leveraging LLMs and agentic workflows to automate and optimize freight brokerage operations.
  • Lead AI-Powered Innovation:Design and implement AI-driven automation for back-office processes, utilizing cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) and autonomous agent-based systems to streamline workflows.
  • Develop Scalable Systems:Build robust, scalable, and efficient cloud-based infrastructure capable of handling complex freight logistics data and integrations with industry platforms.
  • Own the Full Tech Stack:Select the best technologies, frameworks, and tools to bring the product vision to life, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
  • Recruit and Lead a World-Class Engineering Team:Assemble and mentor a high-performing team of AI/ML engineers, full-stack developers, and logistics tech specialists.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally:Work closely with the CEO, operations team, and industry experts to align technology development with business goals and user needs.
  • Optimize AI Agent Workflows:Design and refine autonomous multi-agent systems to enhance decision-making, task execution, and process automation in freight brokerage.
  • Ensure Seamless Integrations:Develop APIs and integrations with third-party logistics platforms, freight marketplaces, and operational tools to create a frictionless experience.
  • Stay at the Forefront of AI and Freight Tech:Continuously evaluate emerging AI advancements and industry trends to maintain FreightHeros competitive edge.
  • What You Must Bring:Entrepreneurial Experience:Previous experience as a co-founder, founding engineer, or early-stage technical leader in a VC-backed startup.
  • Zero-to-One Product Development:Proven ability to take concepts from ideation to MVP and scale, particularly in AI-driven SaaS or automation-heavy platforms.
  • AI/ML Expertise:Strong experience with LLMs, agentic workflows, and AI-driven automation, with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Logistics & Data Systems:Expertise in building secure, scalable multi-user platforms that integrate with freight brokerage systems, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and industry APIs.
  • Optimization & Automation:Knowledge of AI-powered decision-making, and workflow automation to streamline freight brokerage operations.
  • Technical Leadership:Proven success in hiring, mentoring, and leading high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced startup environments.
  • System Architecture & Scalability:Experience designing robust, cloud-based architectures capable of handling large-scale logistics data and integrations.
  • Industry Knowledge:Familiarity with freight, supply chain, and logistics technology is a plus, but not required.
  • A strong ability to learn and adapt quickly is essential.
  • Location:Open to LatAm.
