  • Are you ready to jump onboard? What will you be doing?As a Field Service Supervisor, E/A, you will perform field service activities according to the work plan, specifically concerning LNG/DF 4-stroke driven installations with Wärtsilä equipment, such as Engine Control systems, Power Management Systems (PMS), Connectivity devices (HMI, Firewalls, and Servers), and general Vessel Automation.
  • This position is open to applicants in Brazil to fully support external and internal customers in the region.
  • This position reports to the Coordinator Field Service Resources .
  • Candidates are expected to demonstrate high-level critical thinking and reasoning skills, identify as high performers, and be self-motivated.
  • Accountabilities:Perform complex troubleshooting on Wärtsilä systems and specific equipment.
  • Act as a service supervisor for complex marine installations and assist commissioning engineers with product-related activities.
  • Conduct advanced tuning adjustments on Wärtsilä's marine engines and power management systems.
  • Ensure work complies with Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer procedures.
  • Proactively advise and promote available products and solutions to customers.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders concerning natural gas engines, dual fuel engines, LNG equipment like LNGPac, Dual Fuel technology, IAS-related systems, WECS, UNIC, LT7000, etc.
  • Duties and Responsibilities:Interact professionally with customers during work execution.
  • Provide progress updates on work status.
  • Create Service Work Reports.
  • Follow Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
  • Report on work order status to customers and stakeholders.
  • Seek solutions following best practices.
  • Qualifications:Preferred MSc or BSc in Electrical, Controls, Automation Engineering, or Marine Engineering.
  • Passion for engines and automation, with a desire to make a difference.
  • Systematic working style with good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of quality importance.
  • Technical problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills in English, both oral and written, and ability to cooperate effectively.
  • Experience with PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, etc.
  • ) and SCADA systems.

  • Travel Requirements:This role involves 70% travel, domestically and internationally, including offshore and onshore locations.
