O que você irá fazer

  • Their responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, from troubleshooting and root cause analysis to design improvement and technical support.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:The primary focus of an electrical sustaining engineer for power supply is to maintain and enhance the performance of existing power supply designs.
  • This involves:Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Identifying and analyzing problems with power supplies, both in the factory and in the field.
  • This includes using various diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint the root cause of failures.
  • Design Improvement and Modification: Working with design engineers to implement changes that address recurring issues, improve reliability, or enhance performance.
  • This may involve modifying circuit designs, selecting alternative components, or updating manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Support: Providing expert advice and guidance to internal teams (e.
  • G.
  • , manufacturing, quality, sales) and external customers on power supply-related issues.
  • This may involve answering technical questions, providing troubleshooting assistance, or creating technical documentation.
  • Performing Hardware Testing: Conducting functional tests, signal characterization, power modeling, and system coexistence testing to validate design changes or evaluate new components.
  • Writing Test Reports: Documenting test results, including observations, data analysis, and conclusions.
  • Analyzing Failure Data: Identifying trends in failures to proactively address potential issues and improve product reliability.
  • Developing Mitigation Plans: Working with other engineers and production teams to implement solutions that prevent future failures or minimize their impact.
  • Evaluating Alternative Components: Researching and evaluating potential replacements for obsolete or problematic components, ensuring that they meet the required specifications.
  • Managing Change Requests: Reviewing and approving change requests related to power supply designs, ensuring that they are implemented correctly and without compromising product performance.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENTPhysical Requirements:Remote opportunities: NoneQUALIFICATIONS:To excel in this role, electrical sustaining engineers need a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, as well as practical experience with power supply design, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Common qualifications include:Several years of experience in hardware engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using various test equipment, including oscilloscopes, programmable AC/DC power supplies, multimeters, electronic loads, power analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics converter topologies, AC/DC circuits, and magnetics design.
  • Knowledgeable in different circuit simulation and CAD software such as SIMPLIS/SIMETRIX, LTSPICE, ALTIUM Designer, and Cadence Allegro.
