  • **We are looking for a Energy Procurement Analyst.
  • Will be responsible To provide technical and analytical support to the Energy Procurement team for all procurement activitiesassociated with Energy Sourcing.
  • In this role, you will be pivotal to the successful operations of the energy.
  • **TO ACHIEVE EXTRAORDINARY THINGS TOGETHER, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**:- Assist in managing the tendering process for power and gas contracts; - Receive, check, analyze, summarize and store energy supply offers from suppliers in an ordinate way, chasing for clarifications and integration when needed, ensuring deadlines are met; - Assist in the preparation and presentation of market updates for the Sector and Group Hedge Committees; - Working with Sustainability to report emissions reporting and compliance (CDP, Dow Jones and Annual Report); - Assist Energy Manager in working with legal to ensure contracts are robust and commercial terms are within Ball requirements; - Gather and analyze data to provide insight on Balls commodity and non-commodity spend as a whole identifying potential opportunities and impact; - Maintain Excel energy data trackers and ensure all information is constantly updated; - Be a pivotal part in the redesign of Balls energy positions management system and be responsible for the management of data and the system; - Communicate with utilities, local distribution companies, and public utility commissions to gather timely, accurate, and complete energy market intelligence; - Manage AOP (Annual Operating Plan) / budget preparation and submission; - Work with the plant finance to understand rebates and discounts; - Track all plants energy usage forecasts, ensure they are up-to-date, and communicated to every supplier on a quarterly basis; - Track Natural Gas & Electricity invoices on a monthly basis and chase plants for responses where missing; - Audit all hedges on a quarterly basis; - Track contract renewals and ensure all contracts are countersigned and uploaded into the contracts database; - Create and maintain, at a minimum, reports on spend, savings, renewable energy cover, and hedge positions; - Assist with analyzing new possibilities and innovative ways of lowering Balls energy spend - Be part of Balls energy risk management function and be an integral part of the team to build capability and value proposition so that Ball achieves a competitive advantage.

  • **- To be successful in this role you will ideally be educated to degree level in Engineering, Economics, Finance or Business Administration.
  • - Analytical background with a high proficiency in Excel and data manipulation; - An excellent communicator, with the ability to work cross functional & within teams; - Proactive doer that quickly takes ownership and leads; - Excellent time management and project management ability; - Capacity to manage andinfluence multiple internal and external stakeholders; - Able to prioritise work load; - Work and deliver to deadlines; - Strong technical skillin Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • - Strong Project management skills; - Ability to think strategically both in the short term and long term and gain buy-in to new ideas and recommendations for change; - Proven proficiency in English- Knowledge of commodities markets.
