  • With the onset of the global economy, its payments infrastructure is shaping how banks, fintechs, and businesses everywhere collect, convert, and disburse funds instantly across borders.
  • Its payout network supports 100 currencies and spans 220+ markets, 100 of which in real-time.
  • Funds can be disbursed to accounts, wallets, and cards and collected locally in 35 markets.
  • Nium's growing card issuance business is already available in 34 countries.
  • Nium holds regulatory licenses and authorizations in more than 40 countries, enabling seamless onboarding, rapid integration, and compliance independent of geography.
  • The company is co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore.
  • About the Role As the Latin American Network Manager (Director - Partner Relations), you will lead the expansion, development, and management of our payment network across Latin America.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong partnerships, optimizing network performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Key ResponsibilitiesPartner Management: Own the relation with all our regional bank partners, these are banks and payment service providers who collect, hold, or otherwise process Nium and/or Nium Clients funds.
  • Network Expansion & Execution: Drive expansion and strategy in the region: new payment corridors, new functionalities, new bank partners, support Niums licensing effort etc.
  • Thought Leadership: Be a subject matter expert in the region: this includes regulation, pricing, risk appetite of the banks, and account opening processes.
  • Company Representation: Be a strong representative for Nium at senior level with regional bank partners and build relationships with counterparts.
  • Implementation: Drive contract negotiations, including pricing, with bank partners advocating for a fair position for Nium.
  • Project Management: Drive bank partners to meet deadlines that align with Niums product roadmap and set realistic expectations on deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Be able to work remotely and collaborate with internal Nium product, legal, compliance, finance, and treasury teams in various locations and time zones.
  • Requirements5-8 years of experience in payments and banking products.
  • Transaction banking and FX knowledge with expertise in understanding and clearly articulating complex payments flows to bank partners.
  • Knowledge of current state of regional payment networks, regulatory affairs, industry standards, and players in the payments industry.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams into enterprise-wide outcomes.
  • Demonstrated examples of success in managing internal and external relationships.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinker with ability to analyze and devise a strategic approach for Nium with bank partners, including commercial processes.
  • Proficient in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
