Job Description What do we expect from you? Mondrian Abu Dhabi is poised to redefine luxury, and we are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Finance to lead our financial operations during the pre-opening phase.
In this critical role, you will oversee all financial aspects of the property, ensuring financial controls, forecasting, budgeting, and profitability.
Your expertise will be pivotal in establishing a strong financial foundation and supporting the long-term success of Mondrian Abu Dhabi.
How your day looks like: Lead the pre-opening financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Collaborate closely with the leadership team to ensure the financial stability and profitability of the hotel.
Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining the highest service standards.
Oversee the preparation and management of budgets, ensuring effective financial planning across all departments.
Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve revenue and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with all local tax laws, financial regulations, and corporate policies.
Provide leadership in setting pricing strategies for rooms, F&B, wellness, and events to maximize revenue and profitability.
Work alongside department heads to ensure all financial objectives are met and exceeded, implementing corrective actions where needed.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including auditors, banks, and vendors.
Implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
Develop financial models and forecasts for future business decisions, helping guide strategic initiatives.
This role requires strategic vision, effective leadership, and a strong focus on optimizing financial performance, all while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and driving revenue and profitability growth.
Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial management, with at least 3 years in a Director-level role, ideally in a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment.
Experience working in a truly global work environment is essential.
Proven pre-opening experience with a strong track record of financial leadership and operational excellence.
Exceptional knowledge of financial management practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and align them with organizational goals.
Expertise in financial reporting systems, Excel, and hospitality financial software (e.
g.
, OPERA).
In-depth understanding of the hospitality industrys financial landscape, including room revenue, F&B, and event sales.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, balancing attention to detail with the need for swift decision-making.
