O que você irá fazer

  • **Job Title: Buyer III****Reports To: Manager Purchasing SR****Position Summary**:Experienced and fully proficient buyer responsible for initiating purchasing requests made by departments; Contacts vendors, and requests materials and follows-up to ensure delivery date and payments are made.
  • **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**- Aggressively negotiates PO pricing, deliveries, and terms and conditions with domestic and international suppliers- Drafts and issues RFQs- Seeks and evaluates new sources of supply- Resolves pricing discrepancies- Generates return to vendor if delivery is incorrect- Maintains an awareness of current market conditions and information to keep abreast of sources and prices- Participates in and implements supplier consolidations, national agreements and supplier process improvement initiatives- Keeps abreast of procurement requirements and insures suppliers understand procurement priorities and meets delivery requirements- Pursues target costs with suppliers in an aggressive manner.
  • - Make substitution recommendations where savings in cost or better delivery can be realized.
  • - Obtain and analyze quotations on nonstandard items and continually audit prices of standard materials and supplies.
  • - Generates Purchase Orders- Control of PO open in the system- Requires employee to constantly type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc.
  • **Required Education****Preferred Education**- Bachelor''s degree from four/five year college or university; (Engineer preferred)**Required Experience & Skills****Preferred Experience & Skills**- Oracle preferred- Ten to twelve years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience**Required Training & Certifications****Preferred Training & Certifications****Physical Demands **(Only use for shop, Field or operations job postings)(Place under Additional Requirements)- Must be able to work under pressure- Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department- Requires employee to sit for at least 100% of the time- Must be able to communicate and respond to coworkers, vendors, suppliers and emergency cues/alarms, in person and on the telephone, including use of mobile devices- Must wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, helmets, face shields, hearing protection, safety goggles, steel-toed boots, as applicable.
