  • Job Description Rate of pay: $20.
  • 92/hour USD Supervise the setup of designated function rooms to meet the group's requirements in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and working condition of all equipment, guest, and service areas.
  • Responsibilities Maintain complete knowledge of daily scheduled group functions, times, locations, and guest guarantees.
  • Know the location of all hotel function spaces and room names.
  • Understand all styles of meeting and banquet room settings.
  • Ensure correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • Follow all departmental/hotel policies and safety guidelines.
  • Oversee all house persons during shifts, supervising staff to ensure superior guest service.
  • Assist, train, support, and discipline Banquet House Attendants to meet quality standards and maintain morale and productivity.
  • Handle and transport all equipment carefully to prevent injuries and damage, using equipment only as intended.
  • Review Banquet Event Orders for the day and upcoming days, assigning colleagues to tasks and coordinating with the manager.
  • Organize work duties with house persons, directing and delegating assignments.
  • Retrieve and stock linens and skirting from Laundry, organize supply carts, and transport materials to function areas.
  • Inspect set rooms for cleanliness and compliance with group requirements, rectifying deficiencies.
  • Set up rooms with tables, chairs, staging, and equipment as specified and in accordance with standards.
  • Set up table linens, skirting, and tabletop items per group specifications.
  • Refresh function areas as scheduled, store reusable items, and return equipment to storage.
  • Handle lost and found items appropriately.
  • Clean and sanitize glassware, floors, and designated areas using proper chemicals and tools.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of closets, remove trash, and ensure proper storage.
  • Transport food and beverage items using trays.
  • Check and reposition furniture, inspect for damages, and report issues.
  • Clean furniture, fixtures, and fixtures; dust and polish surfaces.
  • Inspect and maintain the condition of all equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure nothing is stored in stairwells and that safety protocols are followed.
  • Attend to guest needs, respond promptly, and promote positive guest relations.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services to respond accurately to guest inquiries.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints courteously, following procedures.
  • Deliver packages and report damages or hazards.
  • Complete side duties and participate in training and meetings.
  • Secondary Functions Assist with inventories, stock supplies, and follow maintenance programs.
  • Qualifications Food handling certification.
  • Effective communication skills in English with guests and staff.
  • Legible communication and basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to supervise staff effectively.
