  • - Personality and Cultural Alignment to influence the right decisions - without breaking bridges and adhering to the HP way- Super-passionate about converting data to customer valuable insights- Good Analytical Thinking to make a majority of right judgement calls**Responsibilities**As the Application Software Principal Engineer you would be responsible for driving product success:- Setup and enforce architecture processes and standards- Ability to articulate software and systems requirements into documentation including presentations, requirements definitions, design specifications, qualitative metrics and user stories.
  • - Deep understanding of software development processes and principles such as secure software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, responsible use of open source, risk mitigation, and planning and estimation.
  • - Demonstrated mastery of systems programming concepts such as distributed systems, virtualization technologies, performance- computing, driver and firmware interaction.
  • - Drive innovation roadmap for the GBU, including investigations and proof-of-concept activities and mentors other team members on new technologies and concepts.
  • - Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.
  • - Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
  • - Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.
  • **Knowledge & Skills**- Experience in overall frontend and backend architecture of web software systems for products and solutions.
  • - Expert experience architecting client solutions built on web, mobile, desktop and cloud technologies, e.

  • JS, Xamarin, Swift, Kotlin, Java, Objective C and AWS.
  • - Expert in designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platforms into overall architecture.
  • - Experience with building large scale architectures for resilience, performance, reuse, scalability and security.
  • - Experience leading teams of developers and engaging across multiple work streams.
  • - Experience with designing, architecting, and building software systems and delivering product to market.
  • - Experience in designing, developing, and debugging solutions from a systems point-of-view.
  • - Proficient in multiple software development tools and languages.
  • - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills along with critical thinking.
  • - Ability to work across time-zones with virtual development teams.

  • **Education and Experience Required**- Bachelor''s degree in a relevant area or demonstrated competence.
