  • Role Overview:The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading a team of accounting specialists and full-charge bookkeepers while overseeing multiple client accounts.
  • This role plays a pivotal role in optimizing and managing financial systems by analyzing client SOPs (standard operating procedures), identifying inefficiencies, streamlining inefficient accounting operations, and implementing new tools and processes for a best-in-class accounting department workflow.
  • The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, leadership, and a client-centric mindset to deliver business-focused insights that drive profitability and growth.
  • This role requires someone who can think critically, solve problems, and deliver above-and-beyond servicesupporting both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals.
  • Key Responsibilities:Client Account Management: Oversee and manage the financial operation for multiple clients, ensuring that all deliverables are accurate and timely.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing clients with strategic guidance and actionable insights to support business growth.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of accounting specialists and bookkeepers.
  • Conduct work reviews, ensure deadlines are met, and maintain a high standard of quality across all accounts.
  • Premium Service Delivery: Provide personalized, white-glove service, including proactive communication and real-time problem-solving.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through daily or as-needed support, ensuring financial clarity.
  • Technical Oversight:Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end and annual close.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with U.

  • Review financial reports and dashboards to provide business performance insights.
  • Ensure tax filings and strategy implementation are accurate and timely.
  • Strategic Financial Guidance: Collaborate with the CFO and Financial Analyst to provide clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, cost savings, and profitability improvements.
  • Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement: Drive efficiency accounting processes by implementing best practices and leveraging technology and automation tools.
  • Requirements:Experience & Skills:5+ years of experience in an accounting leadership role, preferably with multi-client or multi-industry exposure.

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO), financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with collaborative tools like Slack, ClickUp, or similar project management platforms.
